About the President:
Katie Katz
I joined Bernard Katz Glass in 2007 full-time, leaving behind many years of teaching art. I enjoy challenging myself with new ideas through learning how to run a small business.
I completed the Business Plan Writing Program at Temple Small Business School in June 2007. Proud recipient of the Merchants Fund of Philadelphia, 2009 for Bernard Katz Glass,Inc. As of Summer 2009, the owner and President of Bernard Katz Glass, Inc. as a minority woman based business.
I graduated from Moore College of Art and Design in 1989 with a degree in Art Education and Sculpture.
For 10 years, I had a studio within the 915 Spring Garden Studios. I created large scale charcoal and pastel drawings and watercolor paintings. My artwork explored my Navajo roots and spirituality.

I exhibited my work at: Fleisher Art Memorial; The Philadelphia Art Alliance; The Balch Ethnic Institute and Perkins Center of the Arts.
I enjoy traveling and exploring locations with beautiful landscapes that inspire me to create drawings that invoke movement and feeling. Many times I have traveled to the Navajo Reservation and studied at Dine College in Tsaile, AZ. My favorite place to visit was Canyon de Chelly.

I taught Elementary Art Education for 15 years throughout the Delaware Valley. I enjoyed teaching so many kids at Fleisher Art Memorial, St. Francis de Sales School, Perkins Center for the Arts.
At Perkins Center for the Arts, I was involved in the New Jersey Council of Arts Program creating murals and installation projects for schools within Southern New Jersey.
